An independent reimplementation of competition minigolf — the codified sport,
not a novelty crazy-golf course. The lane system is the concrete (“Beton”)
system patented by the Swiss garden architect Paul Bongni in 1950, whose first course
opened at Ascona on Lake Maggiore on 19 March 1954. It is the one minigolf system whose
eighteen lanes are fixed both in design and in sequence, which is why this app can
ship the real lanes and cite them: they are a published technical standard, not one
author’s creative work.
What is faithful
The eighteen lanes in the standard’s own order, each 12.00 m by 1.25 m
with a 2.50 m target circle and a 10 cm hole, and lane 7 the long-drive
“Weitschlag”.
The tee marking: a 30 cm circle whose centre is 40 cm from the start of the
lane, with an 8 cm centre mark.
The rules: six strokes and then seven recorded; the border line and what happens when
the ball has not passed it; the ball replaced where it left the lane; 20 cm off a
rail; a ball that rolls back over the border line stopped there; holed when it has come to
rest so that it cannot leave under its own power.
The ball: 37–43 mm across, under 120 g, rebounding no more than
85 cm from a 1 m drop onto concrete at 25 °C — and the four balls
offered here span that range, because a competition player carries a hundred of them.
Lane 18, which has no hole at all: the ball must climb the slope and stay in the
collecting box.
Which lanes may be built as mirror images: the standard permits it on lanes
4, 5, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 16, and on no others, and each lane’s panel says which
it is.
What is this app’s own
Every obstacle’s dimensions and its position along the lane. The lane panel lists
them per lane, and CREDITS.txt lists them all.
The rail height (no rule document states one), the hole’s depth, and the surface
friction — taken from the physics literature for a ball on a putting surface,
because no federation document publishes it for concrete.
Colours, lighting, the surrounding ground, and the camera.

for every reconstructed figure.
